Are You a General inThe Kingdom?

Image
Mega churches, big ministries, big crusades, most number of churches planted, most number of church members---a lot of church people still go for these measurements. The church is still blind to them, thinking the more and the bigger, the better, greater and more favor from God. We think the more we have in our hands, the higher our position in the Kingdom, and the more God is pleased with us. It is generally seen that generals of the Kingdom are the great ministry performers on earth. The same was assumed by Samuel when he wondered who the next king of Israel would be. He saw Eliab and decided he must be the guy for the throne---with his appearance, height and everything. But the Lord rebuked him. "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." Outward appearance includes performance. Up to this very moment of church history, t...

Only Human?

Image
Humans in Christ Human born from GOD. Because He is our Father and we are His children. We are God's very own family, not partially but fully. Though humans, we come from God, being His childern. If children, then our spiritual DNA has God's DNA in it. We are  born from above  (born from God), something not to be taken lightly for its tremendous potentials and latent power. We are not gods, in the sense of being pagan idols, but children of God given God-offspring  and God-heir   status . Photo by Joel Ambass on Unsplash . But don't go out publicly declaring we are so. It should manifest with zero effort. People know the tree by its fruit though it's something to be pondered within ourselves. Publicly, we show we're only humans, the lowly kind, sometimes even withdrawn in a crowd of showoffs. But deep within we know our spiritual stature, how the Father has been pleased to give us the Kingdom [Luke 12.32]. To natural men, this has no bearing, even a heresy. Bu...

I Have Said, "You are gods."

Image
Image above from Flickr.Com Jesus answered them,  “Is it not written in your Law,  ‘I have said you are “gods”’ - John 10.34 This truth ought to be among basic lessons in discipleship, or perhaps in evangelism. It will clearly show what receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior really is, not just having an active church life doing ministries and planting churches that highlight man, his achievements and ministries, not God. And yet, you very rarely hear churches teach this today, not realizing that this is God's all-time move and also God's Next move. The word used is with a small "g," gods . I'm sure God didn't mean we are Gods like him, or we are gods like pagan idols. But he did say it. "You are gods." He told sons of the Most High, "You are gods," [Psalm 82]. We are sons and daughters of the Most High in Christ, aren't we? Yet he also told them they'd die like mortals because they understood nothing---particularly, nothing about Go...
